After 34 minutes Arrombadores Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tarcisio Arósio who took care of the corner kick. In the 38th minute of the match Murillo Albuquerque shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus Proença showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The nice shot from Vito Costa in the 40thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Fabiano Donato had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Vito Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mateus Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Gomes was the one to do the kick off. Arrombadores Sport Club's Fabiano Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Gomes in the 51st minute of play. Rodrigo Bueno's late challenge caught a Arrombadores Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Bueno. With an all-out effort, Arrombadores Sport Club's Mateus Proença threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernani dos Santos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute Vito Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arrombadores Sport Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
