Miguel Sarmento made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Remo Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gláuber Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kronos's Gláuber Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo de Lima in the 18th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Kronos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Quintal in the 33rd minute of the match. Ronaldão Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ronaldão Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kronos getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cido do Vale hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Pedro Paulo de Lima made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Remo Pimenta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Sarmento. GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remo Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Quintal got free with Gláuber Alves in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Remo Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Kronos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo Pimenta couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Kronos got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Travassos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Quintal got free with Gláuber Alves in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC booed when Kronos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball.
