Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pedrinha EC's Oséias Guerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The attack was good, but when Oséias Guerra in the 6th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Almesquinha getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Claudinei Netto hit a great ball. After 13 minutes, Breno Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Almesquinha and the Pedrinha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, one of Almesquinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Almesquinha. In the 18th minute, Claudinei Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Oséias Guerra put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Romário Dante. Almesquinha's Romário Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Almesquinha from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Pedrinha EC's Toninho Mazza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romário Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, José Paulo Vianna notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Pedrinha EC's Benê Figueiredo. Pedrinha EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romário Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 58th minute of the match Breno Toledo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Breno Toledo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 58 minutes into the game, one of Almesquinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Almesquinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romário Dante should have stopped the shot. If Zé Roberto Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romário Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
