In the 21st match minute, Peritoro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Massa in the 22nd minute of play forced Peritoro SC's goalkeeper André Luís Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustão Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute of the match, João Pedro Paulista got a very nice opportunity to score, but Faustão Faria was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tombo's Faustão Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Munhoz in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Tombo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wilson Mesquita hit a great ball. In the 77th minute of the match Peritoro SC got a corner. Tombo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Válter Vaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antônio Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Tombo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Munhoz in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Faria saved Tombo from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Tombo's zone, Dênis Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Faria came out of the goal and Dênis Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tombo getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Amadeu Brodel hit a great ball. Leandro Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Faustão Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peritoro SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
