The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Hermes during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Bravo Tricolor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Betão Viana, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Andrézinho de Lima hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Betão Viana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enéas Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luís Paulo Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Enéas Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rony Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gugu Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Metralhas's Alessandro Félix got a free kick in the 24th minute. Gugu Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Metralhas's Manfredo Baptista made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enéas Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frédson Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Souza having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Gugu Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Souza. Metralhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gugu Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Percival Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agnaldo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Metralhas's Betão Viana couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bravo Tricolor. When Agnaldo Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Bravo Tricolor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agnaldo Maranhense couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Camargo made a kick off. Metralhas:s Percival Souza showed great skill when he stopped Gualter Paiva:s penalty. In the last second Enéas Cardozo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Manfredo Baptista in the 64thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gugu Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Souza having to interfere. If Gugu Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Vergílio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enéas Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The referee gave Metralhas a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Betão Viana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bravo Tricolor's Enéas Cardozo. 2-2. After 74 minutes, Jefferson Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metralhas and the Bravo Tricolor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Jefferson Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Gualter Paiva hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Enéas Cardozo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Betão Viana. Miguel Berger charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Berger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rony Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manfredo Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Enéas Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute Manfredo Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
