After a defensive mix-up in Jiquirica's zone, Edmundo Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Nascimento came out of the goal and Edmundo Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Nascimento having to interfere. Jiquirica's Claudinei Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Jiquirica from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Paulo Mendes during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Walmir Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Nascimento having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Eusébio Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramón Queirós. Clube Compacto Managerzon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gualter Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinei Nascimento. Jiquirica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Jiquirica's Eusébio Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clube Compacto Managerzon's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clube Compacto Managerzon's Edmundo Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Clube Compacto Managerzon got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Zanette. In the 63rd match minute, Jiquirica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Borges to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Camargo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jiquirica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Cléberson Camargo hit a great ball. Walmir Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jiquirica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
