If Afonsinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Arruda in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dieguinho Neiva during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dieguinho Neiva hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match Wilton Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles Salgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nicolas Matorin's late challenge caught a Vasco Rj da Gama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. If Afonsinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Barreiras SS fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Barreiras SS's Afonsinho Massa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vasco Rj da Gama's Charles Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibúrcio Almeida in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Afonsinho Massa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Salgado was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibúrcio Almeida in the 46th minute of play forced Vasco Rj da Gama's goalkeeper Charles Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Costa made a kick off. Charles Salgado came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Barreiras SS's Krailerk Phanpheng. But to his dismay, Krailerk Phanpheng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Charles Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Massa in the 58th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Vasco Rj da Gama got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Quintal. Silas Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Massa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Salgado. Vasco Rj da Gama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonsinho Massa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The corner led Barreiras SS's Fernando César to fire away a dangerous shot which Charles Salgado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Charles Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonsinho Massa went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 85th match minute, Vasco Rj da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Charles Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Massa in the 87th minute of play. When Barreiras SS's Afonsinho Massa in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vasco Rj da Gama's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonsinho Massa in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barreiras SS fully deserved thier win.
