An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Aspiridis in the 37th minute of play forced Douradoquara's goalkeeper Chico do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guto Meireles to make the kick off. Douradoquara's Chico do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Douradoquara from getting a goal against them. During the 52nd minute of the match Emílio Tinoco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Emílio Tinoco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 52 played minutes Barrieros got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Tinoco. Panagiotis Aspiridis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Chico do Vale skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chico do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Barrieros booed when Douradoquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douradoquara's Chico do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Almeida in the 78th minute of play. Barrieros's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
