Boquinha EC's Régis Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Boquinha EC from getting a goal against them. Gláuber Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Valdemar Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Valdemar Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdemar Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Régis Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Régis Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Velasco in the 39th minute of play.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferreiro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flávio Fernandes was slow to take the kick. During this time Boquinha EC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Boquinha EC's corner Flávio Fernandes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Délio Duarte quite easily take care of the ball. Délio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ferreiro's Valdemar Souza in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boquinha EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 61st minute of the match Paulão Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Délio Duarte skillfully saved the ball. Vinícius Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Duarte having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Boquinha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Paes to maneuver through the defense. Délio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu das Neves in the 73rd minute of the match. If Valdemar Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinícius Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Velasco hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes, Vinícius Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boquinha EC and the Ferreiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Boquinha EC's Vinícius Severo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Paulo Renato Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Dudu das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boquinha EC's zone, Vitinho de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Zonta came out of the goal and Vitinho de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinícius Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Délio Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho de Almeida hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Délio Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Chants of Boquinha EC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ferreiro had held the ball for most of the match.
