In the 3rd play minute Edmílson Toledo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abel Sousa. 1-0. In the 7thth minute of the game Pedro Augusto de Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandeirinha's Abel Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Sousa saved Bandeirinha from getting behind. If Pedro Augusto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Bandeirinha's Abel Sousa got control of the ball when Edmílson Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bandeirinha's Abel Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bandeirinha from getting a goal against them. After having played for 22 minutes, Edmílson Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Favinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With splendid footwork Pedro Augusto de Carvalho arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 24th minute. If Edmílson Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 30 played minutes Pedro Augusto de Carvalho rounded Bandeirinha's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. After some careless play in the Favinhas FC defense, Michel Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Almeida. The Favinhas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Almeida should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Adilson Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 46th minute of play forced Bandeirinha's goalkeeper Abel Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmílson Toledo got free with Abel Sousa in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Augusto de Carvalho to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Toledo in the 51st minute of play forced Bandeirinha's goalkeeper Abel Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes Bandeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Michel Martins. Favinhas FC's Edmílson Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmílson Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Favinhas FC's Edmílson Toledo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Pedro Augusto de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Toledo in the 83rd minute of play forced Bandeirinha's goalkeeper Abel Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bandeirinha's zone, Pedro Augusto de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Sousa came out of the goal and Pedro Augusto de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Favinhas FC had won after a very even match.
