Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nilson Pires got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Gaviões Atlético Clube's Marcos do Nascimento got control of the ball when Moisés Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilson Pires took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulysses Rosa. Ulysses Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Biquinha's Moisés Castro got a free kick in the 12th minute. Augusto Berardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilson Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaviões Atlético Clube's Valério Prata quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rafael Mineiro, made in the 24th minute of the game. Ulysses Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Ceresso in the 28th minute of play. Marcos do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro da Costa in the 29th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Valério Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Gaviões Atlético Clube's Luisinho Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulysses Rosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nilson Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ulysses Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Gomes went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 41st match minute, Gaviões Atlético Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oz Falk to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Lauro da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biquinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaviões Atlético Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Zé Ceresso scored to the left of an out of position Marcos do Nascimento, making the score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lauro da Costa made a kick off. After 60 minutes, Lauro da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Biquinha and the Gaviões Atlético Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Lauro da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes Biquinha got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Mineiro. When Erasmo Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaviões Atlético Clube's protests and gave Erasmo Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Erasmo Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, one of Biquinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Biquinha. In the 78th minute, Nilson Pires made a precise shot to the right of Ulysses Rosa. Biquinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After a rather tough play, Gaviões Atlético Clube's Erasmo Gaúcho got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Valério Prata's late challenge caught a Biquinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Prata helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute Lauro da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
