The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Celso FC's Dedê Aguiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Manfredo Simões fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eliel United F.C's protests and gave Manfredo Simões a yellow card for diving instead. If Dito Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Augusto Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando da Rocha in the 47th minute of play forced Celso FC's goalkeeper Lenílson Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duda de Sena who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Augusto Tande when he managed to save the team from getting behind. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duda de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Tande made a huge save. Carlos Augusto Tande stood somewhat misplaced when Duda de Sena came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 73 minute. When Eliel United F.C's Armando da Rocha in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Celso FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Eliel United F.C's zone, Duda de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Tande came out of the goal and Duda de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Walmir Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered loudly when Haroldo Coelho's long shot in the 89th minute became 0-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Carlos Augusto Tande. Dito Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso FC played a much better game than Eliel United F.C and deserved their victory. The Eliel United F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
