The crowd rose to their feet as Renatinho Paranaense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Carlos Santos. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Loanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius da Mata to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Dantas during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Jorginho Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reginaldo Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Tomé da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Loanda's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Rocha came free, but Antônio Carlos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E. Goianiense's Sydney Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Vinícius da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loanda's protests and gave Vinícius da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Loanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Valério Recife received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antônio Carlos Santos came out and tried to block the shot, but Valério Recife slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Antônio Carlos Santos came out of the goal and Renatinho Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Carlos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renatinho Paranaense's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, S.E. Goianiense's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Ceresso came free, but Tomé da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goianiense's Jorginho Dantas made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Carlos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sydney Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Santos having to interfere. Tomé da Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Sena in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Loanda's zone, Tomás Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Santos came out of the goal and Tomás Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Loanda defense, Sydney Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Carlos Santos. The Loanda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Carlos Santos should have stopped the shot. If Renatinho Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Loanda's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Valladares came free, but Antônio Carlos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Rocha in the 87th minute of the match. Renatinho Paranaense's late challenge caught a Loanda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renatinho Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, S.E. Goianiense's Renatinho Paranaense got a free kick in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that S.E. Goianiense were the better team. S.E. Goianiense's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
