Durvalino Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Llorienzo in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, José Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Bergdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matías de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Durvalino Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lage AD booed when Espinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lage AD's Romeo Llorienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Pereira scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carl Bergdal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeo Llorienzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durvalino Salgado having to make a save. With a little luck, Lage AD's Carl Bergdal got control of the ball when José Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Espinha FC's Durvalino Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Llorienzo in the 34th minute of play. If Matías de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Bergdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Pereira in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Matías de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes Espinha FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romeo Llorienzo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Lage AD's corner Romeo Llorienzo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Durvalino Salgado quite easily take care of the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Lage AD got a corner. Espinha FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romeo Llorienzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matías de Amaral to make the kick off. A collision led to Lage AD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joaquim Dionísio hit a great ball. If Matías de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Romeo Llorienzo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Lage AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Llorienzo couldn't finish the play. Lage AD's Carl Bergdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pereira in the 59th minute of play. Espinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lage AD the free kick. In the 80th minute, Romeo Llorienzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durvalino Salgado was a little too slow when Romeo Llorienzo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 87th minute, Romeo Llorienzo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Durvalino Salgado. The goal made the score 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías de Amaral in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durvalino Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Dionísio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jeferson Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
