Cafu Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Felipe Toscano made a huge save. Flores's Paulinho Souza pulled a muscle in his leg after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gino Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tibirica SC's Gino Vianna got a free kick in the 11th minute. Cafu Corrêa in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felipe Toscano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Julien Adriens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Toscano made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Cafu Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. After 17 minutes of play, Tibirica SC's Wilson da Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléberson Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute of the match Flores got a corner. Tibirica SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valério Peres ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Flores's corner Valério Peres fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felipe Toscano quite easily take care of the ball. Julien Adriens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute Felipe da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Cléberson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Christoph Frey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Toscano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Corrêa in the 34th minute of play forced Tibirica SC's goalkeeper Felipe Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafu Corrêa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Felipe Toscano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cafu Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Toscano having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Flores's Cafu Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felipe Toscano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felipe Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Guillem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gino Vianna was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cafu Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flores's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoph Frey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoph Frey in the 61st minute of play forced Tibirica SC's goalkeeper Felipe Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cléberson Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julien Adriens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Toscano having to interfere. Cléberson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Vianna in the 78th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dagoberto Catarinense during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Flores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Flores defense, José Maria Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléberson Arósio. The Flores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléberson Arósio should have stopped the shot. Felipe Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Guillem in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Flores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In the 95thth minute of the game Cafu Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tibirica SC's Felipe Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Flores lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
