Valério Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Valério Paraense notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Black Skull FC's Dinei da Rocha. Dinei da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Paraense got free with Dinei da Rocha in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinei da Rocha was a little too slow when Walmyr Britto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. The supporters of Black Skull FC booed when Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Remo's zone, Natanael Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Antunes came out of the goal and Natanael Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Natanael Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Dinei da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remo. In the 40th minute Claudinho Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Walmyr Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Paraense in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dinei da Rocha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natanael Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. Walmyr Britto succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Britto in the 67th minute of play forced Black Skull FC's goalkeeper Dinei da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmyr Britto in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Natanael Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Antunes having to interfere. Valério Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Black Skull FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Paraense came free, but Dinei da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei da Rocha having to interfere. There was no doubt that Remo were the better team. Remo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
