In the 3rd match minute, Nerds FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Pires to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nerds FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Inimutaba. Erik Lira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roger Salles. 0-1. Benedito Soares struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Roger Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inimutaba. Roger Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Soares in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Acácio Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nerds FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inimutaba the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Nerds FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Pires to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Hélder Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nerds FC's Roger Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benedito Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Acácio Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Hélder Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Salles having to interfere. Acácio Pires hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Fábio Moraes struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Roger Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inimutaba. Inimutaba's Hélder Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugênio Teles to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Inimutaba's Hélder Neves made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roger Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Neves in the 57th minute of play. Nerds FC's Roger Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Nerds FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Nerds FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Acácio Pires hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Inimutaba's Roger Salles threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hélder Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hélder Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. When Hélder Neves came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Inimutaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Neves couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Nerds FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benedito Soares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Santos during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Alex Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Hélder Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inimutaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inimutaba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
