The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Thiago Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kakarotto FC's Ivo Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Fontes in the 5th minute of the match. If Dudu Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes Gana Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Frank Vargas. Cristiano Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gilmar Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laerte Martins's late challenge caught a Gana Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Martins helped the player get up and apologised. Dudu Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivo Melo having to make a save. Serginho Paes charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Paes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gana Madrid booed when Kakarotto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Machado during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kakarotto FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Gana Madrid. Jonas Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivo Melo. 1-0. In the 28th minute, Dudu Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gana Madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Kakarotto FC's Ivo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Kakarotto FC from getting a goal against them. Dudu Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Melo having to interfere. In the 41st minute Eurico Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Vaz during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kakarotto FC booed when Gana Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dudu Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Netto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivo Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ivo Melo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Gana Madrid's Thiago Fontes. But to his dismay, Thiago Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Thiago Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Kakarotto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Fontes came free, but Ivo Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Leme hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Arthur Soares hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Mauro Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Kakarotto FC's Ivo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Fontes in the 89th minute of play. Thiago Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dudu Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Fontes in the 95th minute of play forced Kakarotto FC's goalkeeper Ivo Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gana Madrid's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
