In the 3rd minute, Jardel de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guilherme Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel de Senna in the 9th minute of play. Tostão França was a little too slow when Wellington Valle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fabrício Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Félix hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Fiori Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tostão França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Valle in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Pindobacu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pindobacu SC's zone, Wellington Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão França came out of the goal and Wellington Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Tostão França successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute of the match POTOCUDOS got a corner. Pindobacu SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdir Sarmento ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tostão França was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wellington Valle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 44th minute Fiori Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Américo Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jardel de Senna to make the kick off. João Pedro Andrade made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pindobacu SC's Davi Leite. Luís Guilherme Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Arantes in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Pindobacu SC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fiori Arantes hit a great ball. POTOCUDOS made a substitution. Hamílton Vasconcelos replaced João Pedro Andrade. Luís Guilherme Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel de Senna in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pindobacu SC's zone, Américo Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão França came out of the goal and Américo Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Guilherme Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. POTOCUDOS's Magno Favoretto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Davi Leite in the 91 minute of the game. After having played for 93 minutes, Wellington Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POTOCUDOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pindobacu SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for POTOCUDOS.
