With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeferson Brodel in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Palmeira saved Cafuipe from getting behind. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Brodel couldn't finish the play. Breno Furlan struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Tomás Palmeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Carioca. Although Atlético Carioca had been in control for most of the match, Cafuipe still came away with the win.
