The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Vianna got free with Wladyslaw Tomaka in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catadupas SS's goalkeeper Wladyslaw Tomaka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erivaldo Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Haroldo Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haroldo Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wladyslaw Tomaka having to interfere. Alexandre Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Catadupas SS booed when Correntezas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfredo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Furlan in the 22nd minute of the match. If Rubinho Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wladyslaw Tomaka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haroldo Vianna went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Manfredo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Furlan in the 31st minute of the match. Thiago Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Wladyslaw Tomaka made a huge save. Haroldo Vianna struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Wladyslaw Tomaka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Correntezas. Rubinho Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wladyslaw Tomaka having to interfere. Alexandre Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Manfredo Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Manfredo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Correntezas's Rubinho Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Catadupas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Silva came free, but Wladyslaw Tomaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wladyslaw Tomaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Vianna in the 79th minute of play. Manfredo Baptista made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alexandre Furlan sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Rubinho Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wladyslaw Tomaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Haroldo Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catadupas SS's Wladyslaw Tomaka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Correntezas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Leal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Haroldo Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Correntezas's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wladyslaw Tomaka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wladyslaw Tomaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Vianna in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Correntezas fully deserved thier win.
