An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Koehler in the 7th minute of play forced Jubilados do Mangue FC's goalkeeper Silas França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Vivaldo da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Jubilados do Mangue FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho Paiva. A hard shot 18 in the game by Emanuel Seco from a close distance when the talented Vivaldo da Rocha managed to make a qualified save. Sun Red FC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Sun Red FC's Leonardo de Mendonça got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Sun Red FC booed when Jubilados do Mangue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Seco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 35th playminute. Jubilados do Mangue FC's Aloísio Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredão Machado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Vivaldo da Rocha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Machado in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo da Rocha saved Sun Red FC from getting behind. Vivaldo da Rocha came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Jubilados do Mangue FC's Emanuel Seco. But to his dismay, Emanuel Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubens França made a kick off. Emanuel Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Afonsinho Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Machado in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo da Rocha saved Sun Red FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute Rubens França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo da Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aloísio Motta's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Sun Red FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Seco came free, but Vivaldo da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Aloísio Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jubilados do Mangue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute of the match Jubilados do Mangue FC got a corner. Sun Red FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afonsinho Paiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Jubilados do Mangue FC's Afonsinho Paiva to fire away a dangerous shot which Vivaldo da Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vivaldo da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Seco in the 97th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Aloísio Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jubilados do Mangue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
