Elói Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Valladares having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Casa da Mamãe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Cruz to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Dalmo de Almeida had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Giovanni Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Casa da Mamãe's protests and gave Giovanni Rosado a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Casa da Mamãe got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Rosado. Andrézinho Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dudu Macedo. Casa da Mamãe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. César Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Adriano Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Senna in the 42nd minute of the match. Casa da Mamãe's Elói Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, José Paulo Paraense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Casa da Mamãe's Dudu Macedo. Dudu Macedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Casa da Mamãe's Giovanni Rosado got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Elói Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casa da Mamãe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilerneiras EC's Adriano Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Senna in the 66th minute of play. Amílton Batista struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Adriano Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casa da Mamãe. In the 73rd minute, Elói Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Valladares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 77 minutes of play Casa da Mamãe's Giovanni Rosado was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 78th minute, Giovanni Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luís Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luís Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Ilerneiras EC got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Macedo. Dudu Macedo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Custódio Bueno sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Casa da Mamãe defense, José Paulo Paraense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dudu Macedo. The Casa da Mamãe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dudu Macedo should have stopped the shot. José Paulo Paraense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dudu Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Casa da Mamãe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ilerneiras EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ilerneiras EC.
