Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Roma's Indrek Tarand started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Toscano in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Croce saved Roma from getting behind. 6 minutes into the match, Magne Blomvik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelinho Arce. Braz Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magne Blomvik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcelinho Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Recife in the 9th minute of play. Marcelinho Arce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Indrek Tarand went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Toninho Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelinho Arce was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jaime Croce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Toscano in the 23rd minute of the match. Marcelinho Arce came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Roma's Indrek Tarand. But to his dismay, Indrek Tarand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 39th minute, Toninho Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Roma's zone, Bernardinho Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Croce came out of the goal and Bernardinho Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardinho Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Braz Fc defense, Magne Blomvik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Arce. The Braz Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Arce should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Tepedino in the 51st minute of play forced Roma's goalkeeper Jaime Croce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Braz Fc booed when Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Nicolas Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roma's Jaime Croce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Roma's Indrek Tarand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelinho Arce. Marcelinho Arce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Recife in the 70th minute of play forced Braz Fc's goalkeeper Marcelinho Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Nicolas Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Croce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Roma's Indrek Tarand in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Braz Fc's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute, Roma's Toninho Recife ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelinho Arce. Marcelinho Arce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Indrek Tarand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelinho Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Westby in the 81st minute. Jaime Croce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes of play, Roma's Magne Blomvik made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelinho Arce was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Indrek Tarand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Roma had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
