With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murillo Paiva in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri Moraes saved KABULOSO FC from getting behind. Juarês Montenegro in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yuri Moraes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yuri Moraes made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Durvalino Pereira sent off a good shot on target. Gravatahy's Gerson Mazza suffered a sore thigh after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 10 minutes, Adhemar de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KABULOSO FC and the Gravatahy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adhemar de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Cunha in the 13th minute of play forced Gravatahy's goalkeeper Deivid Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laércio de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gravatahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yuri Moraes made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Juarês Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, KABULOSO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Pereira came free, but Yuri Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christiano Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Yuri Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juarês Montenegro went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Juarês Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Moraes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Juarês Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gravatahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes KABULOSO FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Branco. In the 43rd minute Gravatahy were awarded a corner. Doriva Ceresso went to the cornerflag to take it. Juarês Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuri Moraes having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Juarês Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Yuri Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durvalino Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Yuri Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Montenegro in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Montenegro in the 70th minute of play forced KABULOSO FC's goalkeeper Yuri Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gravatahy's Juarês Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Murillo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Murillo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gravatahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murillo Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in KABULOSO FC's zone, Durvalino Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Moraes came out of the goal and Durvalino Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
