Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Humberto Meireles took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pedro Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Lago having to interfere. Magno Chaves took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tales Lago. Tales Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute Marquinhos Saraiva suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu Branco during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Grilos got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Branco. Tales Lago came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Grilos's Gugu Branco. But to his dismay, Gugu Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Grilos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jaime Couto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Pedro Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tales Lago was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Christiano Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grilos's Beto Terra got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Christiano Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magno Chaves struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tales Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grilos. Tales Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Chaves in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Chaves made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Indio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Conrado da Mata managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. If Magno Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Nunes in the 59th minute of play forced Grilos's goalkeeper Cléber da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Indio's Tales Lago got control of the ball when Pedro Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Pedro Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Magno Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes of play, Grilos's Pedro Donato made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tales Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Tales Lago managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Grilos's Pedro Donato fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Magno Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Lago having to interfere. Cléber da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Nunes in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Indio booed when Grilos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Grilos defense, Christiano Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléber da Costa. The Grilos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléber da Costa should have stopped the shot.
