A collision led to Salina SC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Breno Pereira hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Willian Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Fernando Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14th play minutes Durval Vidal shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Carlos Fernando Miranda and just under the crossbar into goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Santa Edwiges fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Pereira during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Salina SC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Pereira. The Santa Edwiges fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Santa Edwiges's Durval Vidal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amauri Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauren Anillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amauri Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Santa Edwiges's attack was well implemented in the 32nd minute, but when Durval Vidal was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Vito Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Miranda having to interfere. Evaristo Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Carlos Fernando Miranda made a huge save. In the 37th minute Durval Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Vidals short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Carlos Fernando Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Evaristo Britto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Fernando Miranda having to make a save. After some careless play in the Salina SC defense, Evaristo Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Fernando Miranda. The Salina SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Fernando Miranda should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aníbal do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Salina SC's zone, Evaristo Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando Miranda came out of the goal and Evaristo Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flávio de Amaral lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Salina SC's Carlos Fernando Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Nascimento in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durval Vidal in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Fernando Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Carlos Fernando Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Vidal in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Durval Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Fernando Miranda was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Germano Vergílio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Edwiges fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 101 minutes into the match, Santa Edwiges's goalkeeper Lauren Anillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuca Chaves. Santa Edwiges walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
