Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Salina SC's Aníbal do Valle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Samuca Chaves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Luz was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 7 played minutes Salina SC got a freekick which was hit by Breno Pereira. In the 8th minute, Mathias Chaves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Fernando Miranda, passed just outside the right post. 13 minutes into the game, Amauri Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salina SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luzitana AD the free kick. Amauri Britto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Wellington da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aníbal do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Carlos Fernando Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game Aníbal do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luzitana AD's Jeremias Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Chaves in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luzitana AD's Wilson Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match, Wilson Vianna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Fernando Miranda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 36th minute Mathias Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Salina SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Chaves came free, but Carlos Fernando Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Wilson Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzitana AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Samuca Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luzitana AD's Jeremias Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal do Valle in the 43rd minute of play. With a little luck, Salina SC's Carlos Fernando Miranda got control of the ball when Wilson Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Samuca Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathias Chaves made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias Chaves in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Fernando Miranda saved Salina SC from getting behind. Luzitana AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salina SC the free kick. After 70 played minutes Luzitana AD got a freekick which was hit by Renan Pena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Vianna in the 78th minute of play forced Salina SC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Mathias Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salina SC's Carlos Fernando Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renan Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Renan Pena was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Salina SC booed when Luzitana AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Aníbal do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salina SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuca Chaves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Jeremias Luz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Wilson Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Luzitana AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Vianna couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luzitana AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Salina SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
