A collision led to Rosa de Hiroshima getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Toninho Tasso hit a great ball. Pranchada EC's Jairo Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jairo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Pranchada EC's Jairo Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltazar Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raúl Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Silveira in the 40th minute of the match. Raúl Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Macedo in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jairo Dante made the kick off in the second half. When Toninho Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosa de Hiroshima's protests and gave Toninho Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rosa de Hiroshima's Toninho Tasso got a free kick in the 57th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pranchada EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rosa de Hiroshima.
