Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fellipe Saldanha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Clemente Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Marquinhos Saldanha managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Sargento's Válter Rezende fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Válter Rezende succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. Fellipe Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Saldanha having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, CORINTHIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Messias to maneuver through the defense. Fellipe Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Marquinhos Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sargento. Válter Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marquinhos Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Ronaldo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sargento's Clemente Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Messias in the 37th minute of play. Válter Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Saldanha having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Sargento's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Loyola came free, but Clemente Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Messias to make the kick off. The supporters of CORINTHIANS booed when Sargento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 52 minutes, Ronaldo Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CORINTHIANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Válter Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Válter Rezende's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Saldanha was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Sargento's Clemente Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Sargento from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Délio Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Lopez made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Délio Loyola sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in CORINTHIANS's zone, Fellipe Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Saldanha came out of the goal and Fellipe Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Délio Loyola's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Clemente Lopez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Clemente Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Didi Maia during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Délio Loyola got free with Clemente Lopez in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th play minute Délio Loyola came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Clemente Lopez. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
