Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lúcio do Valle took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hermínio Gaúcho succeeded in the game's 4th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Hermínio Gaúcho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Zilles. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Fernando Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio do Valle in the 28th minute of play. Fernando Zilles was a little too slow when Lúcio Prado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-0. 35 minutes into the match, Brazilian Storm Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio do Valle came free, but Fernando Zilles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Lúcio do Valle made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Zilles. Brazilian Storm Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Durval Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazilian Storm Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durval Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When 郭南威 came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Grêmio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 郭南威 couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio do Valle in the 52nd minute of play forced Brazilian Storm Club's goalkeeper Fernando Zilles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Alberto Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Zilles having to make a save. 郭南威 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Zilles having to interfere. Fernando Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Samuca Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazilian Storm Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuca Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Walmir Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Grêmio fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Grêmio's Lúcio do Valle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 81st minute, Lúcio do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Zilles was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Fernando Zilles came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio's Lúcio do Valle. But to his dismay, Lúcio do Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Fernando Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Róbson Bastos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brazilian Storm Club's zone, Osvaldinho Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Zilles came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Grêmio's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Abreu came free, but Walmir Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grêmio had played much better football throughout.
