Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cojubim's Kléberson de Carvalho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Rezende FC booed when Cojubim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Chicão Goiano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Virgílio Vergílio to make any attempt to save it. João Augusto Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafinha Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cojubim's Rafinha Mendonça, in the 21st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cojubim. Virgílio Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Neto in the 24th minute of the match. João Augusto Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafinha Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cléberson Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson de Carvalho in the 29th minute of play forced Rezende FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rafinha Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Zilles hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Rafinha Mendonça scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Alvarenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Agostinho Neto made the kick off in the second half. Kléberson de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. João Augusto Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléberson de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rezende FC's João Augusto Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Rezende FC from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, João Augusto Alvarenga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Kléberson de Carvalho in the 79th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or João Augusto Alvarenga kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Cléberson Valladares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Augusto Alvarenga came out and tried to block the shot, but Cléberson Valladares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 84th minute. Cléberson Valladares's late challenge caught a Rezende FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléberson Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. Cléberson Valladares hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 96th match minute, Rezende FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Freitas to maneuver through the defense. The Rezende FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cojubim were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
