In the 3rd minute, Betinho Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Favoretto's late challenge caught a Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Capelinha EC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nilson Favoretto hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Armandinho Botelho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evandro Tróia. The goal made the score 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Oséas Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capelinha EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséas Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovânio Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evandro Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betinho Almeida in the 27th minute. In the 33rd minute, Oséas Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Glauco Pinheiro. Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capelinha EC's goalkeeper Evandro Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Linhares in the 45th minute of play forced Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s goalkeeper Glauco Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tigre Brasilis F.C. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marquinhos Sarmento hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Diniz made a kick off. Glauco Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Oséas Linhares sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th match minute, Tigre Brasilis F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Botelho took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evandro Tróia. Evandro Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 62nd minute, Betinho Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Evandro Tróia. Capelinha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Oséas Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Glauco Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Geovânio Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evandro Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Evandro Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Geovânio Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evandro Tróia. Capelinha EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovânio Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Geovânio Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tigre Brasilis F.C. booed when Capelinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armandinho Botelho in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Tróia saved Capelinha EC from getting behind. 84 minutes into the game, Armandinho Botelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Evandro Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armandinho Botelho in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Tróia saved Capelinha EC from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Oséas Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
