Cássio Damião hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Geovânio Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Mari's Geovânio Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Amaral in the 17th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Mari's Reinaldo Amaral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Mari booed when Urandi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Mari's Reinaldo Amaral made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Mari getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cássio Damião hit a great ball. Reinaldo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gomes having to interfere. If Geovânio Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Amaral in the 31st minute of play. When Mari's Geovânio Catarinense in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urandi AD's goalie prevented a goal. When Mari's Reinaldo Amaral in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urandi AD's goalie prevented a goal. Geovânio Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Francisco Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Urandi AD's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Catarinense came free, but Francisco Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Urandi AD's goalkeeper Francisco Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reinaldo Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Francisco Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinaldo Amaral to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cauã Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mari's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauã Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Reinaldo Amaral took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Francisco Gomes to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes into the match, Mari's Reinaldo Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovânio Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovânio Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Amaral in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Gomes saved Urandi AD from getting behind. Urandi AD's Francisco Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Amaral in the 74th minute of play. Francisco Gomes came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Mari's Reinaldo Amaral. But to his dismay, Reinaldo Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Francisco Gomes was a little too slow when Reinaldo Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-5. 82 minutes into the match, Urandi AD's goalkeeper Francisco Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Catarinense. Reinaldo Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Francisco Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Reinaldo Amaral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisco Gomes. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 94th minute Luís Paulo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Urandi AD's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Amaral came free, but Francisco Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mari's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
