Putinga's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Forquilinho. In the 9thth minute of the game Júlio Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forquilinho's Dedé Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Júlio Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Putinga's Filipe Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Magalhães in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Magalhães in the 20th minute of play forced Putinga's goalkeeper Filipe Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Dedé Meireles managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Putinga's Júlio Leite fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rodrigo Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Perivaldo Terra's late challenge caught a Forquilinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Terra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Putinga getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Perivaldo Terra hit a great ball. Filipe Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Putinga's Filipe Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Magalhães in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Forquilinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Tavares to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Putinga's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Magalhães came free, but Filipe Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís Rosado got free with Filipe Queirós in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
