Tadeu Massa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Gonçalo Trigo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Tadeu Massa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 53 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gonçalo Trigo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in New Zoeira's zone, Tadeu Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Trigo came out of the goal and Tadeu Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luisão Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patuá EC's protests and gave Luisão Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Patuá EC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Luisão Gaúcho hit a great ball. Gonçalo Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeu Massa's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Hugo Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to New Zoeira getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Tadeu Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patuá EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patuá EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of New Zoeira for a fine match.
