After a rather tough play, Cambito's César Duarte got a free kick in the 3rd minute. César Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Válbson de Brito sped through Cambito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrézinho Dias. Durval Azevedo's late challenge caught a Comercial FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durval Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Durval Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Comercial FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Haroldo Toscano hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cambito's César Duarte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tião Andrade. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Tião Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrão Donato in the 29th minute. Durval Azevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tião Andrade came out and tried to block the shot, but Durval Azevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute of the match Claudinho Branco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrézinho Dias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jerônimo Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Tião Andrade made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Válbson de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrézinho Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
