Arnaldo do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 温崇思 having to interfere. Armandinho Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 温崇思 having to interfere. Douglas Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Valaraukar F. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Celestes FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nildo Baiano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Valaraukar F. C.'s 温崇思. 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Rosado was the one to do the kick off. Erivaldo Meirelles hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Celestes FC's Nildo Baiano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Valaraukar F. C.. Douglas Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Celestes FC's zone, Serafim Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo do Vale came out of the goal and Serafim Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 温崇思 made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Armandinho Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Andrézinho Sarmento was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Serafim Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Arnaldo do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Serafim Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Serafim Couto came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Valaraukar F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Couto couldn't finish the play. Celestes FC's Andrézinho Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
