In the 13th minute, Edson Pimenta made a precise shot to the right of Dino Aguiar. Paulistano Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 16th minute, Minas Nentakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 21 minutes into the match, Hustks's Edgar Linares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquim Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Norberto Mello made a huge save. Dino Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Minas Nentakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hustks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Minas Nentakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Minas Nentakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The wind increased when Zé Paulo Guimarães made the kick off in the second half.
