Vikings's Luiz Fábio Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Jacinto dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vikings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos Futebol C. Sub 23 the free kick. After 10 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto dos Santos. Conrado Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dudu Hermes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Lopez ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Lopez in the 20th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Dudu Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dudu Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Evelio Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos Futebol C. Sub 23's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Valiente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Durvalino do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sub 23's Alfredo de Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dudu Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santos Futebol C. Sub 23 reached it. After 65 minutes, Sílvio da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikings and the Santos Futebol C. Sub 23 players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the match, Santos Futebol C. Sub 23's Ģederts Gerens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dudu Hermes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vikings's zone, Alfredo de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Hermes came out of the goal and Alfredo de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durvalino do Nascimento in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Enrique Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durvalino do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Ģederts Gerens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dudu Hermes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino do Nascimento in the 91st minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Dudu Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Durvalino do Nascimento put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dudu Hermes. Dudu Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ģederts Gerens in the 99th minute of play. Santos Futebol C. Sub 23's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
