Jarbas Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Paranaense in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarbas Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Morere fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Paranaense in the 14th minute of play forced Morere's goalkeeper Jarbas Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustão Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Freire took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarbas Baptista. Jarbas Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jarbas Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Freire in the 21st minute. Caropanatuba EC's Zacarias Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Caropanatuba EC's Guilherme Paranaense in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jarbas Baptista came out of the goal and Guilherme Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Morere getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Denílson Soeiro hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Morere's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Paranaense came free, but Jarbas Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Guilherme Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caropanatuba EC's Zacarias Prado suffered a sore foot after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Sanches during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Morere's Pedrinho Sanches got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 43 played minutes Morere got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Soeiro. José Vítor Cerezo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jarbas Baptista. Morere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Noel Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Dorival Melo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jarbas Baptista, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 2-0. If Noel Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Víktor Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Morere's Jarbas Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Freire in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Morere's zone, Víktor Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Baptista came out of the goal and Víktor Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivo Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. If Agenor Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarbas Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Paranaense in the 73rd minute of play forced Morere's goalkeeper Jarbas Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Souto was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Faustão Bezerra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Faustão Bezerra really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 81 played minutes Caropanatuba EC got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Lara. Pedrinho Sanches got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 85th match minute, Morere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Sanches to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Adhemar Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caropanatuba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Noel Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caropanatuba EC fully deserved thier win.
