Dagoberto Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mamaele booed when Escudo da Fé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo José Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Caio Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Escudo da Fé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Paulo José Santos came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Mamaele's Sandrinho Breckenfeld. But to his dismay, Sandrinho Breckenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Mamaele's Alessandro Moreira got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Luiz Fernando Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Işıkalp Nizam kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Caio Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Escudo da Fé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Linhares couldn't finish the play. After 79 played minutes Mamaele got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Moreira. Alessandro Moreira made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Escudo da Fé's Luiz Fernando Cruz.
