Giovani Moraes was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Betão Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Betão Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Emerson Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donatello Matos's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Serginho de Senna's late challenge caught a TECORY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. Serginho de Senna hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Pinto SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Tony Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Betão Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Giovani Moraes came out and tried to block the shot, but Betão Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Giovani Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Donatello Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. TECORY's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatello Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Paulo Trigo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Simões. Emerson Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Donatello Matos notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Pinto SS's Emerson Simões. Emerson Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Pinto SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TECORY were winning 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. When Eliseu Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TECORY's protests and gave Eliseu Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, TECORY's Eliseu Gomes got a free kick in the 50th minute. The goalkeeper, Emerson Simões, was totally fooled by TECORY's Luís Paulo Trigo, who 55 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 57th match minute, Pinto SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Joélson Ceresso hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes Pinto SS got a freekick which was hit by Serginho de Senna. Donatello Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serginho de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Emerson Simões acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luís Paulo Trigo. Emerson Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Matos in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Angelo Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Angelo Silveira put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Giovani Moraes. Emerson Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donatello Matos in the 85th minute. Luís Paulo Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Emerson Simões made a huge save. After 91 minutes, Romeu do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TECORY and the Pinto SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, TECORY's Romeu do Valle got a free kick in the 91st minute. TECORY's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
