With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felipe EC's Nestor da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Marcinho Faustino put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of VIlla Remo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Felipe EC:s goal. The referee gave Felipe EC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mateus de Azevedo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VIlla Remo's Wellington Vides. 0-2. Wellington Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 29 played minutes Felipe EC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Magalhães. In the 30th minute, Décio Mendes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Felipe EC's Caio Miranda didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in VIlla Remo's zone, Nestor da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Vides came out of the goal and Nestor da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Manuel Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio Miranda came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by VIlla Remo's Wanderson Fontes. But to his dismay, Wanderson Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 44 minutes into the match, VIlla Remo's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Dante came free, but Wellington Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Gabriel Magalhães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Vides skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Felipe EC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jardel Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nestor da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manuel Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wellington Vides made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Nestor da Costa sent off a good shot on target. Nestor da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jardel Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Wellington Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valério Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. VIlla Remo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Jardel Dante scored to the left of an out of position Wellington Vides, making the score, 2-4. Manuel Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wanderson Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
