With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Mocho's zone, Cléber Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Brasil came out of the goal and Cléber Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Claudinei Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Sampaio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mocho's Danilo Zilles tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mocho's zone, Claudinei Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Brasil came out of the goal and Claudinei Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Mocho's goalkeeper Lauro Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléber Penha. The audience was convinced that Flávio Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eurico de Sena was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Eurico de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Mocho's Lauro Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 41st minute, Cléber Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rivotris FC's Claudinei Carvalho in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute Claudinei Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Durval Peres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lauro Brasil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Mocho's Flávio Netto got a free kick in the 91st minute.
