With his leg Magno Nunes managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Fluminense Football Club's 于坚林 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fluminense Football Club's 于坚林 was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paulo Lago took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jairo Ribeiro. Fluminense Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The attack was good, but when 于坚林 in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 于坚林 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when 于坚林 got free with Magno Nunes in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fernando de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Magno Nunes made a huge save. If Wellington de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 于坚林 to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Platina SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fluminense Football Club the free kick. Magno Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71stth minute of the game 于坚林 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Platina SC's Magno Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 5-1 became the score in the 73rd minute when 于坚林 elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cláudio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Ribeiro having to interfere. 于坚林 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 于坚林 in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, 于坚林 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fluminense Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but 于坚林 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Magno Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 于坚林 in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Fluminense Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
