Leopoldo Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio da Silva having to interfere. Cláudio Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belmiro Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Magno Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Platina SC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Britto. Platina SC's Magno Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Paranaense in the 24th minute of play. Zé Paulo Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elói de Castro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Cláudio Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Leal in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio da Silva saved Federacao from getting behind. Leopoldo Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lúcio da Silva made a huge save. If Leopoldo Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Régis de Sousa's late challenge caught a Platina SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis de Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. 52 minutes into the game, one of Federacao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 58 played minutes Platina SC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Nunes. 64 minutes into the match, Federacao's Belmiro Paes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magno Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Leopoldo Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráusio Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Platina SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
