The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Delfim da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Robinho Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Bezouro's Luiz Fernando Simões ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robinho Mendes. Robinho Mendes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Dadá Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Bezouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, CA Contorno's Cristóvão Mineiro got a free kick in the 40th minute. With his leg Robinho Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Bezouro's Delfim da Mata fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute, Bezouro's Luiz Fernando Simões ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robinho Mendes. Robinho Mendes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Robinho Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, one of CA Contorno:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CA Contorno. Frank Almeida walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some careless play in the CA Contorno defense, Dadá Jacinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robinho Mendes. The CA Contorno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robinho Mendes should have stopped the shot. Jeferson Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Adriano Medeiros made a huge save. Bezouro's Dadá Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the CA Contorno defense, Artur Pitta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robinho Mendes. The CA Contorno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robinho Mendes should have stopped the shot. Robinho Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Jacinto in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Delfim da Mata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robinho Mendes was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Dadá Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Mendes having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Delfim da Mata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robinho Mendes. CA Contorno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim da Mata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There was no doubt that Bezouro were the better team. Bezouro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
