The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tejupa EC's Lúcio Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Falcão having to interfere. A collision led to Tejupa EC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tostão Faria hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Didi Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Sarmento having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Kauan Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tejupa EC and the Favelados da Pátria players grew even worse after the yellow card.
