Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aníbal Braga got the match started through his kick off. If Alessandro Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 5 minutes, Hélio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortaleza EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Prado in the 7th minute of play forced Quinquelere's goalkeeper Alfredinho Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Fortaleza EC's Alessandro Arruda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredinho Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alfredinho Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Prado in the 15th minute of the match. Benedito Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute Hélio Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Pinho having to interfere. Quinquelere's Alfredinho Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Prado in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Luís Guilherme Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredinho Pinho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 48th minute Alessandro Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélio Prado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
